Brazilian music guitarist Claudio Guimarâes
is without a doubt one of the best
in his generation. He custom designs his melodies,
harmonies and solos to fit the most exigent ears.

In his journey that started in the 70's, he has been
a solid and significant player in wherever
musical happening he was part of.

He played for a variety of stars, such as Paulo Moura,
Nivaldo Ornellas, Maria Bethânia, Leila Pinheiro,
Guilherme Vergueiro, Nana Caymmi and many others.

He was artistic director for memorable albums, such as
"Tributo a Garoto" (Radames Gnatalli and Rafael Rabello)
and "Carlinhos Vergueiro."

He participated in recordings for Joyce, Edu Lobo,
Nana Vasconcelos, Don Cherry .

He wrote music scores for movies
("Quem é Beta?" by Nelson Pereira dos Santos)
and the theater (Isadora e Oswald by Aguinaldo Silva).

Critics and public acclaimed his debut album

Meu irmão toca na Sinfônica

and won awards as Best Record of the year. (1981)

His latest CD, "Se demorar eu espero" (1995)
is a proof of his talent and capacity
in the art of music making.

Surrounded by some best Brazilian musicians,
like Raul de Souza, Robertinho Silva, Nico Assumpção,
Sizão Machado, among others, he shows why his fellow
artists and audiences admire him so much.
