"The Samba is a musical genre that has
a very strong rhythmic appeal and unique
ways of harmonizing its rich melodies.
The piano is a percussion instrument, able
to explore harmonies and interpret melodies
beautifully.
So, to unite the Samba and the piano,
is one of the most complete and challenging
experiences that a pianist and composer
can face, and when one faces this challenge
with humor and creativity, music explodes
on the stage and the audiences can not
stand stil, the level of energy is incredible.
Each time is like an adventure, each time
the music is diferent, each and every time
you are able to explore more and more."
"After 20 performances in Brazil, facing tough audiences, we are ready to "take the world",
says Vergueiro. "The artists of the group are wonderful and the Samba is flowing in such way
that it is hard sometimes to finish the songs!." It is like a party! The only complaint we had was
that the people could not dance in the theaters, what made very happy, since I think that the
only way you have to find out if the Samba is good is if it make one feel like "shaking".
It got to have that "swing".
